Context
Les Arènes is a spectacular corporate construction with seven floors plus a technical floor, developed by Crédit du Maroc (CDM).
Designed by the Bruno Willerval architecture studio in collaboration with its Moroccan partner Omar Alaoui, the building stands out for its innovative aesthetics and the brightness provided by its four fully glazed façades.
The envelope consists of stick-type curtain walls, aluminium joinery, composite panel cladding and a double skin with adjustable slats for solar control.

Scope
The project involved the construction of a 10,500 m² envelope. For Aluman, it marked a return to Morocco and an opportunity to collaborate once again with a client committed to quality and excellence.
Despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, planning was barely affected and the engineering phase was completed without a hitch.

Challenge
One of the main challenges was to comply with the design requirements and quality standards, such as the French HQE (Haute Qualité Environnementale) certification.
In addition, the global health situation resulting from the pandemic forced us to adapt our work dynamics and operations, which posed an additional challenge that the team managed to overcome effectively.
