The Madrid Edition

Context
Located in the Plaza de las Descalzas of central Madrid, this 5 star hotel forms part of the most exclusive brand of the Marriott International hotel chain. It has 177 rooms, 21 suites and 2 penthouses and is designed in a modern style that conserves in its façade the famous large Baroque portico built in 1773 and designed by the artist Pedro de Ribera.

Scope
Different systems designed ad hoc for each area of the building.
Ground floor and semi-basement with a steel curtain wall; cassettes with a modular system; opened courtyard with stick and sliding windows; interior patio with balcony windows; incorporation with stick system; steel porticoes and canopy and aluminium slat framework with six vanes and glazed roof; technical covering with acoustic panels.

Challenge
Ad hoc system to adapt to the geometry and aesthetics of the project, guaranteeing the highest performance in thermal and acoustic terms, and quality in the materials and details to match the demanding requirements imposed by an exclusive hotel.
