OUR HISTORY

Founded in Galicia (Spain) in 1973 by Manuel Pose, the father of our current chairman, the origins of Aluman go back to the manufacturing of metal carpentry for local projects.

In these 50 years we have diversified our activities and the markets where we operate and Aluman is now an international industrial company specialised in developing innovative and sustainable construction solutions for energy envelopes on buildings, retail and contracting works at an international level.

Our ultimate goal as an organisation is to generate a real positive impact on our people, customers, society and our surroundings, and by doing so contribute to their economic, social and environmental development.

1973

Founding of Aluman
Start of industrial activity (2/11/1973).

1990

Transfer to current headquarters in Arteixo (A Coruña, Galicia).

Startup of PVC line

Addition of wood workshop

2001

Launch of Miradoiro corporate magazine.

Extension of the metal fabrication workshop

2010

Implementation of 2010-2015 Strategic Plan.

Launch of the internationalisation process.

2012

Start of international expansion.
Incorporation of Aluman Maroc and Aluman Panamá.
Contract for Tocumen airport, one of the four main ones in Latin America.

2013

Incorporation of Aluman Colombia.

PSC and FEFC certifications for wood products.

New business area: furniture and signage for retail sector.

2015

Construction and startup of test bench and own façade testing facility, one of the largest in the world.

2016

Establishment of Aluman USA, Aluman México and Aluman UK.  

Increased industrial capacity: end of extension of Arteixo facilities with €8M investment and over 14,500 m2 of useful space.

2017

Candame, our specialised brand in design and construction for hotels, complete the largest project in Latin America for a hotel—the furnishings of the Grand Hyatt Bogotá.

Industry 4.0 Project financed by Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) with €7.5M.

2018

First year of the Aluman Alumni program, Specialist Technician in Façades.

First curtain wall certified for the North American market.

New brand strategy.
