Context

The Registradores building, located at 72 Príncipe de Vergara Street, underwent extensive renovation to transform it into a functional, innovative and energy-efficient space. This project, developed by the Living division of the Aluman Group, was designed to house the headquarters of the Spanish Association of Property, Commercial and Movable Property Registrars (CORPME), as well as the Madrid Commercial Registry and the Central Movable Property Registry.

Scope

The project included the comprehensive renovation of the building and the creation of a new architectural envelope, designed to significantly improve its energy performance. This envelope is characterised by its large slats, which run the entire length of the building, rising from the main façade, passing over the roof and extending to the interior courtyards. This solution not only modernised the image of the property, but also adapted it to current standards of sustainability and efficiency.

Challenge

The main challenge of the project was the design and adaptation of the new envelope, which had to meet strict sustainability and energy efficiency criteria. Overcoming this challenge allowed the Aluman Group to consolidate its experience in complex renovation projects, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and responsible construction.
